History, Culture & Festivals

The Agrawal Samaj traces its roots back to Maharaja Agrasen, a legendary king of Agroha (in present-day Haryana), who lived thousands of years ago. He is remembered as a ruler who promoted prosperity, equality, and non-violence. His principle of “one brick and one coin” laid the foundation of collective welfare — where every new family settling in Agroha was supported by the community.

With time, Agrawals migrated across India, becoming known as one of the most respected trading and business communities. Their qualities of honesty, diligence, and philanthropy brought them immense success.

In Jalna, the Agrawal community has a long history of contributing to trade, education, healthcare, and social welfare, shaping the town’s progress over the decades.
